CGC Video Games Grades Poop Slinger for the PlayStation 4

When collectors discuss rare modern video games, titles such as Barbie: Groom and Glam Pups for the Nintendo 3DS and Tamashii for the PlayStation 4 are often mentioned. No one expected that a poop-slinging game would make the list as one of the rarest modern video games to exist. But it did, and CGC Video Games™ just graded an example!

CGC Video Games recently certified a sealed Poop Slinger (2019) for the PlayStation 4 graded CGC 9.6 A+. It is currently being offered in the April 20-22 Video Games Signature Auction being hosted by Heritage Auctions, which is set to end on April 22, 2022. As of March 2023, this is the only copy of Poop Slinger certified by CGC Video Games and only the second copy to be offered by Heritage.

Poop Slinger was developed by indie developer Diggidy.net, who released the game digitally in August 2018. The gameplay was simple — collect and sling poop at foes. Completing levels would unlock new maps, slingers, attachments and game modes. The game even offers in-game achievements and three different game modes, including Objective, TP Mode and Survival.

After its digital release, small game developer Limited Rare reached out to Diggidy.net and proposed a limited physical release of the game. Apparently, Limited Rare took out a bank loan to fund the physical release and made 1,000 copies — the minimum required by Sony for any game to have a physical release. Unfortunately for Limited Rare, only 84 copies of the game were sold while the other remaining copies of the game were reportedly seized by creditors.

This is no April Fool's joke — because there were only 84 copies sold, Poop Slinger is the rarest PlayStation 4 title in the entire console library!
